History
Torrontes is the only indigenous white grape variety of Argentina. Acordeon grows Torrontes in the mile-high Cafayate Valley, the pre-eminent region for this signature white wine.
Regional Information
Cafayate, located in the Calchaquies Valleys, in the Andes, shows unique worldwide characteristics for growing Torrontes Riojano. The high altitude, low humidity, intensely sunny days and cold nights combine with sandy soils to bring forth the grape's heady floral aromas and tangy tropical fruit flavour.
Vinification Details
The wine is fermented in stainless steel vessels at 12C to 14C and followed by stirring the fine, fruity lees in the tank for some weeks.
