The winemaker in question is none other than Dr. John Forrest, who set up his family estate in Marlborough, New Zealand in 1988, releasing his first wines into the market two years later. A varietal Albariño from a vineyard site in the Brancott Valley, which is one of the warmest in Marlborough, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly and fully. Layered with peach and apricot, this is a beautifully textured Albariño with plenty of vibrancy and interest.
