What is IPL and how does it work?

Tips and Advice

• Shave and clean the treatment area before starting the treatment. Do not use an epilator or wax as you need to keep the hair root intact for the treatment to be effective.
• Connect the power adapter to an electrical outlet.
• Press the power button.
• Choose whether you want your device to automatically set your individual optimal intensity level or if you want to manually select it. You will do this on the left side of the intensity modes button by selecting M for manual or A for automatic.
• In automatic mode, no further adjustments are required before treatment.
• In manual mode, you set the intensity level by clicking the plus button. There are five intensity levels, with level 1 being the lowest and level 5 being the highest. Click the plus button until the number of lights corresponds to your desired intensity level. We recommend starting with a low level for the first few times and gradually increasing it.
• Choose whether you want to treat in automatic or manual light activation mode.
• In automatic mode, hold down the activation button until the light above "auto" turns on. Then place the light window against the skin and move the IPL device slowly over the treatment area while the light activates automatically. The ready indicator lights up when the device is correctly positioned.
• In manual mode, place the light window against the skin and wait for the ready indicator to light up, then click the activation button. After the light turns on, move the device, and when the ready indicator lights up again, click the activation button again. Repeat until you have treated the entire area.
• After completing the treatment, we recommend moisturizing the skin with a hydrating cream.

The 4 Steps of IPL Hair Removal:

1. Shave the area: Shave the are that you want to remove hair from. Make sure you do not wax before usage, since it will remove the hair root from the follicle.
2. Select intensity: Select desired Intensity Level on your Mandy IPL. The first sessions we recommend you to start on a lower intensity level and increase later.
3. Aim the device: Place the device square against the area that you want to get treated. Press the button and place the device on the next area.
4. Moisturise: We recommend you moisturise the treated areas after the completed treatment.
