Preparation and Usage
Important Instructions
Please read carefully.
Before you first use your Milton Mini, check out its layout.
Wash the plastic ball only in warm soapy water.
Do not use soap on the sponges, instead simply rinse them well with clean cold water.
The Milton Method
1 Clean
When at home: wash the soother in warm soapy water and rinse in cold water.
Important: Always rinse the 2 Milton sponges under running water before and after use.
Away from home: if no water is available, wipe off excess debris from the soother with a clean tissue.
2 Prepare the Milton Solution
Wash your hands well. Fill your Milton Mini with cold water to the line. Add 1 Milton Mini Sterilising Tablet and ensure it dissolves fully. Put the 2 sponges under running water and squeeze the excess water out. First place the solid sponge slowly in the solution at the bottom of the Mini. Secondly, position the sponge with the hole above the solid one and press it down 3 times until the liquid seeps through. The two sponges should absorb all the solution. Ensure that the top of the sponge with the hole is contained underneath the shoulder of the Milton Mini base.
3 Insert Soother
Place the soother teat into the cavity in the middle of the sponge with hole, press the soother down and twist twice to clean the teat.
4 Screw the Top on
5 Wait 15 Minutes
6 Ready for Use
The soother can stay in the Milton Mini for up to 24 hours.
You don't need to rinse the soother and you can give it back to your baby straight away. When needed, open the Milton Mini, remove the soother gently and shake off any excess solution. When you're out and about, you can attach your Milton Mini to your baby bag or buggy by using the handy travel strap.
How to get the best from your Milton Mini:
At the end of each day thoroughly rinse the two sponges in cold water, squeeze out the excess water and leave them to dry on a clean surface. If left out the sponges will dry hard. You can easily soften them again by immersing them in water for a few seconds.
